We are looking for an educational leader who seeks to explore and grow their calling to leadership through a curriculum role of substance and influence.

As a 12-month appointment, the successful candidate will be able to explore and enhance their educational leadership experience through a role of substance and influence within our thriving and inclusive College Community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position of Head of Faculty is a significant role, , who is responsible for the leadership of the faculty’s pedagogical practices, effective management of the faculty (people, resources, and processes) and the coordination of high-impact teaching and learning.

As a Position of Added Responsibility (PAR), this is an exceptional opportunity for an aspirant leader to explore their educational leadership journey and their commitment to the stewardship of 91¸£Àû.

  1. Current and detailed knowledge of the curriculum requirements of the range of subjects offered within the faculty and a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in managing curriculum issues and programs.
  2. Ability to design and implement a range of teaching and learning strategies to establish and maintain an inclusive educational environment to meet the different learning needs of students, including the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning.
  3. Ability to provide effective and collaborative leadership to faculty members in the different phases of planning, designing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing assessment tasks, teaching and learning plans and faculty processes as needed.
  4. Ability to implement effective relational support strategies to provide an optimal and engaging learning environment.
  5. Ability to work productively and effectively with the Secondary leadership team in achieving shared goals.
  6. Ability to always demonstrate professionalism and discretion in relation to confidential College matters and show support for Senior Executive decisions.
  7. Exceptional communication skills, including written and interpersonal, including the ability to create and maintain positive relationships based on respect and trust with students, families, colleagues and the wider school community.
